The Weekender Rundown
Dude of the Week
Marcel Reed
Who doesn’t love a comeback story? On Saturday we almost saw the most shocking loss in all of sports this year…. key word “almost”.
That is why this week’s Dude of the Week is Marcel Reed. A&M was down 30-3 going into half time. Marcel Reed them came out in the second half and threw for 3 TD’s and 300 yards.
He is also dating Suni Lee, Heisman level stuff on and off the field.

Spitgate
What is up with players spitting on each other this season? Ja’Marr (Camel) Chase decided he was going to be the second player this year to get suspended for spitting on another player.
Now Jalen Ramsey is no sweetheart, but still spitting is the lowest of the lows. Ja’Marr Chase is now sitting out on a one game suspension. Honestly in all of my years of sports fandom I do not remember this happening more than once.
Will the NFL make mouth tape mandatory for all players next year???
Loser of the Week
Bill Belichick
Bill Belichick has completely lost it.
For someone many consider the GOAT in all of sports, he’s losing respect rapidly across the sports world.
UNC football is a mess, yet he’s still spending his weekdays at Jordon's cheerleading competitions.
And to make matters worse, the whole scene feels more like a YMCA rec-league cheer event than anything remotely professional.
Figure it out, Bill.
Chicago Cut Lives by It's Name
Just one week after the Daydrink team attended a fine dining experience at Chicago Cut, one of Chicago’s nicest steakhouses, so did the New Jersey Devils.
During their team dinner Jack Hughes, Devils star player, cut his finger on glass. It was later reported that Hughes would need surgery on the cut finger and would miss an estimated 8 weeks.
8 FUCKING WEEKS??? Did the waiter come up and stab him? Did a glass meteor fall from the sky and hit Hughesy? Was the bread basket covered 25 broken wine glasses? 8 FUCKING WEEKS??? How in the world does someone cut themselves deep enough to need surgery and miss 8 weeks at a 5 star restaurant??? I guess some things we’ll never know.
Aside from that, we saw Hughes play at the United Center last week and he is as advertised. One of the most dominant players I have ever seen. Hope he’s better and back in the action asap.
Tears in Virginia
On Monday, recently fired James Franklin was announced as the next head coach at Virginia Tech. Franklin coming off of a firing at Penn State now has a new role. He also helped out Penn State by negotiating down his buyout to just $9 million.
Dude is just a competitor. He could’ve sat on a beach with his millions and lived the rest of his life care free. Instead he is trying to rebuild a broker program.
Dudes loving ball never goes away.
The Kessler Twins: Permanently a Package Deal
Two well-known dancer–entertainers in Germany chose to end their lives through assisted suicide at the exact same time.
How poetic. It’s like a modern, tragic Romeo and Juliet—just the sister edition.
Burns Lock of the week
CHIEFS -3.5
When looking at this NFL Sunday slate one thing stood out to me heavily.
The Chiefs are back at home……. after a big loss on the road in Denver…… sitting at 5-5 fighting for their lives the rest of the season with a Colts team that at least me personally still don’t fully trust?
Give me Patty Mahomes to take us home and make this SIMPLE. CHIEFS -3.5, SPRINKLE -6.5 and -9.5. ARROWHEAD WILL BE ROCKING.
Daydrink Stock
Market Recap
- Merch cooled, but the market shrugged it off thanks to a monster media week — over 1.4 million views across Instagram and TikTok. With Daydrink also activating X, investor sentiment rose sharply. Analysts note that media reach is becoming a major part of the brand’s value, and the share price reflected that strength.
Analyst Outlook
- Steady climb expected if multi-platform traffic stays hot. Investors are watching next week closely.
